President Biden Signs Executive Order on Artificial Intelligence

President Biden signed an executive order (EO) on Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence on October 30, 2023, which came on the heels of the White House’s 2022 release of its AI Bill of Rights. The EO directs federal agencies to develop standards and regulations for ensuring AI safety and preventing misuse. The EO also establishes an AI interagency council to coordinate federal AI efforts.
